The Prairie Textile Arts Guild met at 9:30 am on November 8, 2003 in the
meeting room at Marillac Manor.
The meeting was called to order by President Kay Miller.
20 members and 0 guests were present.
The minutes of the October 11, 2003 meeting were approved as
Reports of officers and standing committees:
Treasurer (Jan Dralle) A new membership list and the budget for this year
and last were passed out. The balance of the Treasury is $692.47.
Carol Kapsner made a motion that we approve the Treasurers report.
Seconded by Karen Oby, motion carried.
Historian (Mary Beth Osborn):
Hospitality (Kaye and Elise Halvorson): Christmas meeting will be a pot luck.
LaRue volunteered to bring dishes instead of food. Everyone is to
make and bring a Christmas ornament to exchange. We will also have bring
Program (Sandie Brewster and Lynn McCulley): Lynn McCulley has set up the tour
to the Abby in May. She wanted to know how many were interested in lunch
at the Abby. The majority wanted to eat lunch there. We will tour
Publicity (Elaine DeBilzan):
Baga is having a fund raiser "Festival of Arts" November 15, 2003.
There will be a quilt show in January sponsored by J & R Vacum.
Connie, Alice and Carol received ribbons on their quilt entries at the Capital
Quilt show last weekend.
The program on crocheting was presented by Deb Long.
The speakerís gift was made by Elaine DeBilzan.
Arlene Strand and Arlene Olson provided the treats.
Bring and Brag was held.
