Prairie Textile Arts Guild met at 9:30 am on March 8, 2003 in the meeting room
at Marillac Manor.
meeting was called to order by President Kay Miller.

minutes of the February 8, 20003 meeting were approved as printed/corrected.
of officers and standing committees:
"Treasurer (Jan Dralle) reported a balance in the treasury of $814.56
and Elise Halvorson): Hostesses for
next month are Debbie Long and Krista Andrews.
(Krista Andrews and LaRue Odenbach): The
program, stitching a needlecase to be presented by Mary Ellen Hoetzer, was
changed to get-to-know-your-fellow stitcher. Mary Ellen had had an accident and
wasn’t able to present the mini-workshop.
month’s program is on finishing techniques with Pat Otto.
As far as the program chairs knew, no extra equipment is needed for the

distributed. Some businesses, such
as Walmart, appeared to be depleted and needed to be replenished.
Kay Miller suggested some pamphlets be placed at the new bakery in
Capital Lanes Plaza. Elaine also
said she would try to put an article in the “Inspire” magazine.

The Nominating Committee came up with the following slate of officers to
be placed on the ballot:

No update on fall workshop.
Fifteenth is National Quilting Day. Classes
are to be presented by Capital Quilters who are also having a quilt raffle.
Elaine said she would take up brochures, at this time, to be placed in
the Heritage Center.

DWAC newsletter containing community events was also circulated.
