The Prairie Textile Arts Guild met at 9:30 am on February 12, 2005 in
the meeting room at Marillac Manor.
The meeting was called to order by President Lynn McCulley.
17 members and 2 guests were present.
The minutes of the January 8, 2005 meeting were approved as
printed/corrected. Motion was made by Sigrid Bucklin and seconded by
Michelle Collins. Carried.
Reports of officers and standing committees:
reasurer (Jan Dralle) Jan Reported our checking account balance was $1115.52.
Historian (Michelle Ripplinger): None
Hospitality (Kaye and Elise Halvorson): None
Program (Deb Long and Alice Coats): Deb Long passed around an
information sheet on the beading project for next month. It includes a
list of the supplies we are to bring next month for the class.
Publicity (Karen Oby):
Special Committee : Larissa Harrison reported the the Art In Motion
went well. She thanked everyone for their help and the many nice
displays they brought. She said in the future to just have patience as
we won't know where we will be located until the last few days.
˜Needlework Workshop - Lynn McCulley reminded us that the deposit of
$30.00 for this class is due today and the second $30.00 is due next
month. LaRue Odenbach and Lynn McCulley are making final arrangements.
Becky Quanrud will be our Angel for the day. Larissa Harrison and Kay
Miller volunteered to help where needed.
Community Access program - Karen Oby received a phone call from a
Estella Stavn in response to that program. Estella asked for help with
the "Chicken Scratch" embroidery stitch. Deb Arnold volunteered to
Nominating Committee - Kay Miller and Sandy Hyland have volunteered to
be on this committee.
The March meeting will be held March 12th and Amy Rouleau will give a
program on Beading.
Hostesses/Setup/Cleanup for March are Sigrid Bucklin and Lynn McCully.
Gift presenter is Alice Coats.
The program on Crochet Rag Rugs was presented Larissa Harrison.
The speaker’s gift was made by Karen Oby.
Deb Long and Arlene Olson provided the treats.
Bring and Brag was held.
